One of his first ventures was starting a business that specialised in the sale of caravan parks and motels. He then started an Internet-based business that enabled individuals and companies to buy and sell businesses whilst a the same time re-establishing a Brokerage business .
Later, Brett purchased the Australian and New Zealand franchise rights for Sunbelt Business Brokers, the largest business broker network in the world. He opened offices in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Northern Territory, and Queensland before selling the master franchise five years later.
One of Brett’s most recent ventures is Australian Business Sales. This company specialises in the sale of accommodation businesses.
Brett’s professional and social associations include the International Business Brokers Association, the Australian Institute of Business Brokers, the Business Brokers Network of Australia, the International 505 Association, the International Etchells Association, the RS 100 Association, the Royal Brighton Yacht Club, the Black Rock Yacht Club, and the Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club.
Brett is a competitive yachtsman who has competed in many races and championships around the world, he still owns several boats and continues to sail competitively.
